On 25th May Tom Brake MP (Lib dems), Kenneth Clarke MP (conservatives), Amelia Womack (Deputy Leader Green Party) and James Torrance (Renew Britain) spoke on Brexit in Spalding.

Some of the most interesting points made included:

  2. If we forge ahead with Brexit it will take years
  3. Issues hardly mentioned before the referendum such as Ireland, Euratom and Erasmus are proving to be extremely important
  4. A shortage of farm workers will encourage trafficking
  5. EU does not send migrants here, businesses ask them to come
  6. Just as our populist newspapers blame EU, other member states' press blames UK
  7. We need freedom of movement and our children do too
  8. No Eurosceptic can name any case where ECJ went against us
  9. Only around 13% of UK law was agreed at EU level
  10. 'Take back control' - was a very clever but meaningless and dangerous slogan
