Westminster By-elections on June 29th

The Bromley & Chislehurst and Blaenau Gwent by-elections for House of Commons seats will be held on June 29th. Also the Welsh Assembly by-election for Blaenau Gwent will take place. Should you be near either location before or on that date any help you could give would be much appreciated.

Earlier this week, I had the honour of being selected to represent our party in the Bromley & Chislehurst by-election.

As you know, campaigning is now in full swing with polling day expected on 29th June. Along with my colleagues campaigning hard in Blaenau Gwent, we need your help now.

There's very, very little time until polling day. So things are pretty busy! It is also a tremendously exciting time. As a local councillor in Bromley, I want to make sure we get the best possible result for local residents and for the party.

We all know the potential is there. We were second in May's local elections and most of the wards here have elected Liberal Democrat councillors in recent years. All in all, there is great potential for a classic Lib Dem by-election effort to tap into.

And we need to make the Liberal Democrat voice heard like never before. Just when everyone has got sick of Tony Blair, along comes a new Tory leader offering more of the same!

That's why I'm delighted by to be standard bearer for the Liberal Democrats here in Bromley.

I'll work flat out over the next four weeks - as will my colleagues in Amy Kitcher and Steve Bard in Blaenau Gwent. But we need your help and support too.
