Regeneration of Rutland & Melton Post Offices

The local Liberal Democrats believe that we must fight to save our post offices from closure especially in village areas. Of particular importance is the issue of post office card accounts.
We think that it is important to save what is often the centre of a community by -
1. Keeping post office card accounts.
2. Regenerating post offices with money obtained by the part sale of Royal Mail.
Post Offices could become community centres with computers for internet access and local council information.
