Proposal from Michael Wyatt, Leader of the North West Leics Lib Dems Group
Hi Everyone,
I have put forward a proposal which asks the Government to set up another lottery good cause which will allow community groups and individuals to help tackle climate change.
Having this extra money will help local communities to convert from non renewable fuels to fuels which help us tackle the growing problems of green house gases.
The Government have a golden opportunity to help by providing funds through the lottery good causes which will empower people to actively get involved in improving and helping the environment in which we all live.
If you agree with me that the government should set up another fund which will help local communities then please join me today and together so we can start to help tackle the growing problems of climate change.
Over £2 billion was unspent last year due to poor or insufficient projects coming forward for grants. We need to make sure part of this unspent resource is earmarked to make our future safer.
Now you can help!
Start today by lobbying your MP, tell them you are not happy with this governments record on tackling climate change. Urge them to support my proposal for a climate change community fund through the lottery good causes which will allow everyone to benefit.
